First Ride Flannel Quilt

Today I've got a flannel rag quilt finish to share.

Yes, it's July. Yes, it's hot. Yes, a flannel quilt in summer makes no sense. Yes, that's how I roll. 😉

However, we DO live in the mountains and our mornings have hovered at 57-60 degrees and I love nothing more than greeting the day out on the deck and a flannel quilt is good company on a crisp mountain morning

This quilt is part of my flannel bin project that I posted about HERE

It finishes at 70"x80"

This cowboy print has been in my stash for at least 15 years

Just a humble rag quilt

But I'm fairly certain it's going to be reached for often in the years to come

And those are always they very best kind.

That's a gorgeous rag quilt! You did a beautiful job of putting those colors together. The block design is perfect for a cozy mountain morning on the deck.

The flannel quilt sounds perfect for snuggling under, especially with a grandchild or two. Happy stitching!

I love those rag quilts--have you ever made one of the rag quilts in the shape of a Christmas tree?--I've made several of those.

I live on the East coast of Florida--mid state--and here even on 100 degree days--by late afternoon and evening you will often find me under a quilt--it's a small apartment and the A/C loves to run non-stop--but I am so grateful for the A/C--and for my quilts!!! Love your flannel one and isn't fun to finally put to use a long loved fabric from the stash!!! OH and the 2 quilts I use in my rocking chair-have flannel backings!!!!!!!!! hugs, di

Fabulous! Yes, people have no idea what they are missing in the mountains when 90 degree days progress to 50 at night. I love opening the window when I go to bed and waking up to a nature-cooled home.,

Cheers to a lovely flannel snuggle this morning!
