Bovine Babies II

When I was taking pictures of the baby calves the other day, this one little fella and his Mama captured my heart:

Like a child, he was trying to be independent:

But his Mama kept close tabs on him:

Which again, like a child, irritated him

Yet, there's nothing like a mother's love:

to make you feel cherished.

That face!

OK...I'll stop. Thanks for indulging me as I fawn over these little ones. Well, maybe just one more:

  1. Love your photos--they capture wonderful mothering moments! I'm watching the same thing from my sewing room window, but with newborn lambs. : )

  2. Awwwwwhhhhh! So adorable! Love the third picture. Mama has such a majestic profile with those powerful long horns. A profile legends are made of. Yet, she has a very tender eye for her little one. Love it. Thanks for sharing. ;^)

  7. Great pictures of mom and baby. In some of those I can almost hear the little one saying "AW mom, that's enough. I want to run and play." What a privileged sight.

  10. Sometimes, the mommas are funnier than the babies! They get so nervous about what their children might be getting up to.
