I made this quilt that I posted about HERE and still have some charm squares left over.
Last year, Julia also hosted a blue swap, but I didn't get in on that one.
This year it was a low volume swap and I signed up for 8 groups. I love low volume prints. I have a good variety in my stash, but they are smaller cuts so I did a little shopping for the swap. I bought some of these with part of a gift certificate, and some were sourced online, on sale
Julia is offering 2 pretty patterns, but of course, you can make whatever you wish. There are so many options with charm squares.
The swap groups filled up in 2 hours so I'm glad I was able to take part. The variety I got back was so good!
It's been a while since I made a low volume quilt, but there are quite a few on my radar. I made my You Make Me Smile quilt 3 years ago and gifted it to our girl.
It's still one of my favorites and I'm hankering to make another.
Low volume quilts are so lovely, I'm looking forward to see what you create. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteLove the low volume quilt. Little E is so cute! Laura
ReplyDeletegorgeous collection of LV prints there....plenty of inspiration no doubt
ReplyDeleteI love that red quilt. Stunning yet so simple. Low volume is a rarity at my place. I'm not attract to it when shopping and then I regret not taken a look at them when I leave the store. Lol. (For inspiration only) Cynthia at Quilting is More Fun than Housework is doing a low volume heart. See it here. https://quiltingismorefunthanhousework.blogspot.com/2025/06/some-finishes-to-love.html
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I spotted this and I thought of you.
