My sister-in-law and I made a good team for the rest of the day. Someone is bound to ask about all the pie birds. My MIL has collected them for years and what you see is only half of them...there are just as many on the other side of the kitchen. They are cute, but get sticky. We were tuckered out and practically melted, but my in-laws' house is now in pretty good shape. We tackled everything from windows to baseboards and bathrooms to pie birds and we managed to do it without being pruned from the family tree. 😉
Oh my, that is a lot of pie birds to move, wash, wipe under and put back and at ceiling level probably even hotter than hot! What a great SIL to share the cleaning with you.

What a task to clean them. But when they sparkle in the light they are so pretty and clean. Labor of love...
ReplyDeleteYowza! That’s a lot of pie birds, but I’m impressed with the fact that there are so many different ones. Can’t imagine your DH would have put up with you being knocked off the family tree!
