I'm closing out 2024 with a recap of our first mountain Christmas. Both kids came home so that made 6 adults, 5 dogs, and 2 grandbabies for 6 days. It was perfect and busy and filled with precious memories.
Gram had the best help in the kitchen!
Cute and enthusiastic!
Lots of goodies came out of that kitchen
With all the busy-ness, we still managed to keep everything balanced
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care (and packing tape because the stocking hangers can't handle stuffed stockings)
Little ones sure do put the magic back into Christmas
Teaching 'Old McDonald' to her baby cousin
Their interactions were such a joy to watch
Do you see what I see...
My in-laws came for the day to soak in great grandbabies
They are very stoic and don't show a lot of emotion so I was tickled to capture this shot
So glad we were all together
Made time for an impromptu family photo shoot
Hide and seek
produced lots of giggles
As did driving lessons
Time was made for trail explorations

Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas in your new home. Your 'making new memories' on your ranch are off to a wonderful start! So nice the 'greats' made it also. Hope you find some time for stitching in the new year, blessings!
What a fun Christmas! Children sure make Christmas special. Have a happy, healthy New Year.
What a wonderful post. A Christmas just like I used to know. Wonderful photos and stories. Your husband did fall far from the tree; he's the spitting image of his father. The grandchildren are so cute! Wishing you all the best for the New Year in your new house. Hugs. ;^)
I loved seeing your happy family in your new home. Four generations--how wonderful!
Love all the pictures of your family and you new mountain home!
Thank you so much for sharing snippets of your life - I’ve read your blog for years! Your grand babies are precious and their smiles can light up a universe! Merry Christmas & I pray the Lord continue to bless this new chapter of your life in the mountains - you and hubby have certainly worked hard for it! Beth in AL
What a beautiful account of a meaningful time in a gorgeous place. I can see why Santa's reindeer like to take their post holiday break there!
