Celebrating 4

This happened recently

Our son, DIL, and granddaughter moved closer! They are less than an hour away and living as rurally as we always have, that makes us practically neighbors.

The day after they arrived was E's birthday so I made a chocolate cake, as requested

And once singing commenced and candles were blown out

It was official

Granny and Grandpa helped celebrate

E stayed with us for a few days while Mommy and Daddy unpacked

And we spent our days moving from one adventure

to another

Gram loved having a sous chef

And E was very excited to explore my old button box

Pinning scraps to the pin cushion (her idea) was a favorite activity

She loves the quilts so might I have a blooming quilt buddy on my hands?

Judy is our most gentle hen and E is her biggest fan

Skeet is always willing to assist in adventure seeking escapades. E took off with Skeet and I overheard, "Come on Skeet. Let's see what happens." 😊

Dirt is better than anything you can buy at the store

And Pap's magic makes cuts and scrapes instantly heal

I love this age of wonder

I think we wore out a 4-yr old

I KNOW she wore out  this 61-yr old! Time to double up on those vitamins😄

We're over the moon to have them closer, but I won't lie...

I'm greedy...having them close makes me miss Baby L even more than I always do...I want them both close!

You and Pap are so lucky to have this little one (and of course her big people.....) so close by! Now to allure the other little family.....

I’m so happy for you that your son and his family moved closer! My mom always said being a grandma was the best thing ever! Your granddaughter is adorable and you have years of grandma adventures ahead!

Congratulations! How exciting to have them close! Oh, the memories you will make with this precious one. Granny and Grandpa were smiling too! Hope you will eventually have your SIL and daughter closer too…..

This farm kid is giddy over the joy this girl has at your ranch! I feel so sad for kids who don't get to grow up in the amazing outdoors.

Building memories for you all! Happy Friday :-)
