The other day I popped online to look at a quilt pattern. This was not it, but this cute one popped up
I instantly felt claustrophobic and like I was on the verge of hyperventilating. 😂
What a great scrappy quilt, but if you've been a long- time visitor at the end of the dirt road, you know that I am somewhat of a hermit. We live in the middle of nowhere for a reason. I regularly avoid town and I function best in wild spaces.
But my instant reaction to a photo of a quilt made me chuckle. I'm eager to make this one though.
I didn't order the kit, but I did order the pattern. I'm pretty sure that I will discover a variety of treasures in my quilt pantry that will be perfect for this. And this one is still calling my name.

I felt the exact same way about all 3 patterns!
That Outdoors pattern is really cute. I am a hermit too! It is getting worse the older I get.
Oh goodness--I couldn't imagine our house being butted up against the neighbors. I get it. We only have eight acres here. As a kid I was raised on a farm. Some ppl love it. But YOU are my people. :). Can't wait to see how that pattern comes out with your hermit collection of scraps.
One thing I dislike about this house is that we do have neighbors but our house sits back farther. We can see into their house, they have a lovely tree at Christmas but they can't see into ours. I see those house patterns and think NOT ME!!! I really like the mountain pattern but I'm not sure about the Outdoors pattern, that looks like a lot of piecing. (Says the woman who has started a Judy Neymeyer pattern with a million foundation paper pieced pieces!) I hope you can find some time for stitching this summer!
catching up on posts i see lots of pretty projects...the RWB is gonna be stellar! i love the little houses all crammed in but oh those geese in the mountain pattern! lovely memories to recall...
Hahaha and THAT'S why I'm moving out of the city!!!!
