Here's the link: Lone Star Baby Quilt
I wanted to put these tiny floral prints together in a baby quilt.
I know that differing the scale of fabrics is recommended in order to bring life to a quilt, but I just wanted something very soft and sweet and old fashioned for this quilt.
Jackie used a pantograph called Popcorn that gave it a lovely texture and it measures 39 x 39 after a run through the wash and some time on the line. I backed it with this pretty print from the Windermere line
and used what is fast becoming a favorite for binding for many of these floral quilts:
I think I'm going to make some cards with this shot

Charming! You must have a doppelganger hiding in your house! You get more accomplished than is legal for just one person! I have a shoe box full of similar prints, this Lone Star Baby quilt is the ideal way to use them. Thanks again Karin!
A darling quilt Karin, and what lovely photos!! Yes, that last one would make great cards.
I think the scale of the prints you used works great. The little quilt looks heathery (that must be a word as my iPad didn't correct me) hanging on the fence.
Tried to comment yesterday and was unable to, so I'll just throw the comment in here. I make roast spread, too, and giving thought to what I call it.......I don't call it anything...... I just make it and we eat it!!!
Oh I love what you did!! the scale is just perfect for that yummy soft look!
Beautiful quilt, and the weather looks nice, too.
I love the look of this quilt, and that big star is fantastic in those fabrics.
So cute and what a beautiful scene for the photo shoot. Great job all around!
That quilt has such a beautiful timeless look to it - just perfect fabric choices! Also the gorgeous scenery sets it off too, thank you for sharing these photos they put calm in my heart & a smile on my face! Have a great weekend,
Helen
You are the best at finding great baby quilt patterns, and then actually making them! Thanks to you, I am collecting the patterns, but the making is another story!
This is a very soft, sweet quilt. Wonderful shot at the end for card making. You should sell cards of your quilts in settings like that. As a quilter, I am always wishing I could find cards like that to use in my correspondence.
Sweet and lovely little baby quilt. I have lots of those little florals lurking in my stash. I like this size too - should be a quick project IF only I would get started and DO it. Right?
Great shot with the scenery too.
