It's been a while. I'm not really able to sew, but the binding was made months ago and I think I'm going to give my knee a test run this weekend and try stitching it on to the front because I picked up these quilts from Jackie last week and I am determined to bind something after so many months. Here's hoping I'll be stitching soon. 1008" of binding ought to keep me out of trouble...at least for a little while.

I guess knee heal and quilt bindings will work well. If I did that it would never get done. Things leave my head too quickly and a pile would make me close the door to not remember the stack. I make myself cut the binding and sew/press/roll it up as soon as the top is finished. Then I store it right out in sight and start the pinning/quilting. I don't like finishing the quilting of the top and then having the oh the binding moment.
Thanks for this last thing of the night listing. I'm up and can't sleep and something to read. Love your blog. Hope you heal up soon.
Keepin' the hands busy will be good exercise!! HA And yes, at least you'll feel like you're accomplishing something!
1008" of binding sounds like it might keep you busy for a few days. Is that about three big quilts worth? Glad you are feeling better....take it slow. Speaking from experience!!
I love every step in the quilting process...including binding. I will machine it to the front then hand stitch it to the back. It's the last bit of time I get to spend with the quilt before I give it away. Since I hand quilt, it can take 6-9 months to finish one. It's a little hard to part with them!
Wow! Once you get them sewn on the tops, whipping them down otta keep you off your feet for awhile!
Agreed: 108" of binding ought to keep the hands busy for a bit. :-) So glad the worst is behind you and you are healing well. Can't keep a good woman down for long! Blessings!
Gosh, it's been awhile since you've posted. Just missing your wonderful posts and hoping there's great news in the next one.
