Spring Fling Quilt

The seeds for this quilt started in July of last year when I tackled my scrap bin and cut everything down for numerous projects.

This quilt is called Logs and Bricks and is from this book that I bought in 2022.

These bright, happy fabrics were such fun to work with

I renamed it Spring Fling when I found this fabric at a local quilt shop

I even went back for the rest of it when I saw how great it worked with my scraps.

I liked being able to incorporate my low volume prints along with these bright fabrics from my scrap bin in this design

It's amazing what was hiding in those scraps so this is your nudge to start digging. ๐Ÿ˜‰

At 60" x 80" it ought to be perfect for cat-naps in the hammock

...which is my cue to order one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I didn't think this was my usual color story, but everything came from my scraps and low volume stash so I must be mistaken. I love how it all came together and I'm glad that all these little pieces found such a fun place to land.

I love the quilt, it's so colorful and beautiful! That backing fabric is perfect. Do you have any of that fabric left for another quilt? Happy stitching!

I really love this quilt……your fabrics are perfect. Love the backing. Although I don’t need any more quilt books (i have plenty to keep me busy), I wanted to get this one. It’s $100 on Amazon!

Your quilt is so much prettier than the one in the book! In the book I just breezed past it because it looked too busy. Yours looks more planned and the block design shows up better. Amazing what differet fabrics can do

Oh wow, congratulations on completing such a beautiful quilt! And your backing is perfect :-) I, too, googled the book - not readily available here in NZ and a little pricey to post- I'll have to dream instead!

It is such a joy to see those bright scraps turn into something as lovely as your Spring Fling quilt. That local shop find was the perfect choice to pull all those low volume prints together into a beautiful design. How is your Monday afternoon going for you?
