The other day I mentioned this quilt:
It's in the latest issue of Quiltmaker.
I have these pillows:
And a cream comforter that needs some color added to it.
Enter this quilt. Southwest inspired. I love the modern fabrics used, but I am going for the more traditional Southwestern colors. I am keeping the turquoise, but losing the green. After Easy Street, I need a break from green.
In the magazine, it's called Dream On, but I'm going with Land of Enchantment.
I am going to add more rows, turn the pattern horizontally, and yes, make it bigger. :)
And I think it will be perfect folded at the foot of the bed. I am off to do some math!
A few days ago, sweet Pat from, Life in the Scrapatch, nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award.
I am humbled that any of y'all take time out from your busy day to peek into life here at the end of the dirt road, and I can not tell you how thrilled I am that you do. I love your comments and appreciate that you take the time to leave them. Thank you so much Pat!
I'm supposed to nominate some other blogs, but I hope y'all don't mind if I don't do that. I love reading y'all's blogs and I think all of y'all are such fun, but I know most of y'all have already been nominated. I will play by half of the rules and list 7 things about myself:
1. I am a social hermit.
2. I love music and have a very eclectic taste.
3. I am a voracious reader. I am fascinated by biographies - people lead such interesting lives!
4. I once played pool with George Strait and his wife.
5. My Mom was approached by a sheik who wanted me to be a part of his harem when I was 12. LOL.
6. DH and I once won a hunting trip in Africa at the Safari Club Banquet.
7. I have made dinner for Tommy Lee Jones in my home.
That was hard!

It sounds like you are having an interesting life also. I will look for progress on your current project. Have a great day.
My oh My - I didn't know that I knew such a celebrity!! Glad to know that I am not the only social hermit(LOL)!!! Met Vickie (Stars over Commanche) the other day and she wants to meet you - thinks you sound like a neat gal!! (Do I tell her the truth! LOL!!!) Maybe someday we can all get together!!
Blessings sweet friend!
Land of Enchantment is going to be beautiful in your Land of Enchantment colors. :-)
Congratulations on your award - well deserved. :-) Interesting life, indeed.
Congratulations on your reward. You are most deserving. Boy, you have been rubbing shoulders with lots of celebrities in your life. I always enjoy dropping by and seeing what you are up to. Your life sounds very interesting and fulfilling. Kudos to you.
The quilt is going to be gorgeous and it is quite south-west style. I didn't pick up on that when you showed it last time. Okay now question time! Where were you when you met a sheik? I can't imagine them out where you live! And how did Tommy Lee Jones come to be at your house? I love how you respond to every comment we make on your blog! There are some bloggers I've never heard back from, and no, they are not necessarily the big famous fabric/pattern designer ones.
LOL! Aren't you glad you're a Ranch Wife instead of one of many in a sheik's harem ! Sounds like you've had many fascinating things happen in your life. "Sew" how was old Woodrow Call?
How fun to learn these things about you!! Tommy Lee Jones--he's one of my favorite actors. So what did you cook for him? :-)
Your new quilt will be perfect--what a brilliant idea! I look forward to seeing it with your comforter and your pillows.
No. 5--Wow!
I like the changes you are going to be making to your Land of Enchantment quilt. It is fun to see how other quilters picture a quilt, just changing it from vertical to horizontal is changes the feel of it completely. Thanks for sharing.
Okey, dokey, what an interesting post!!!! First of all.... Of COURSE you are going to make Land of Enchantment bigger than the original.... LOL.
I'm with Vickie. Woodrow AND Gus can put their boots under my table any time!!!
Did you go to Africa and use the 'trip'???
Haha! I'm a social hermit, too -- that's why I love social media. LOL! We had so much in common! Well, at least we do in 1-3. After that, not so much! :)
You are going to make it bigger? Really? How unusual, I would NEVER have thought you'd do something like that.......... *grins*
Now are you going to explain all those things on your post? Enquiring minds want to hear about all that great stuff!
