July 2, 1:30 PM and it's 83°. Heaven.
We've had rain 3 out of seven days and it's clouding up again.
I've been puttering in the yard and garden and it was all I could do to go inside and cook dinner.
I've got a couple of quilts to bind so I loaded up and found a place to camp for the afternoon:
I am feeling a little guilty for enjoying this so much:
I even had a visitor:
Sweet Sylvester.
When I am outside, he is by my side:
For an outside barn cat, he is very lovable, and my favorite feline buddy:
Yep, I could get used to this:
Wonder if I could get hubby to be my cabana boy!

I'm sooo jealous Karin! We are still sweltering around the 100 degree mark. We had clouds roll in last evening, but no moisture has come down. Enjoy it while you've got it!
Wonderful on all accounts!! I am sooooooo very much enjoying this cooler weather! Sylvester is my kind of cat!!!
Blessings sweet friend!
lovely quilt...i want to see a photo of that chair
Wonderful weather! So glad you're getting a little rain and some relief from the heat. Love your quilt and your visitor. If you figure out how to get your husband to be your cabana boy, please provide the rest of us with details so we can maybe get the same result.
This cooler weather has sure been nice! We still haven;t had a drop of rain though, it just goes around. We must be living wrong... but I can't figure out what exactly we're doing wrong. Haha!
I'm so glad you've gotten rain. Between last night and the 10 minute hail and rain shower these evening, we are up to 2/10 of an inch--and I am grateful. We're going to have great sleeping temperatures again tonight. Certainly makes life good!
Your quilting buddy is so pretty. Looks ike you have a friend for life. Our weather is cooloer this week too and we are in MO. We've had a few really hot days and lots of rain, so this is a wonderful relief. Happy 4th for you and your family.
Sounds like a perfect day!
What fun to find a place to bind quilts where you can relax and have a 'friend' to visit with you!! My outside feline is Jesse James (a 6 toed ex-Tomcat)and he follows me every where and rides the four wheeler with me. Is that Gypsy you are binding??
Happpy 4th of July to you and your cabana boy!!!!
Yay! Glad you got some sweet relief! This here Alabama gal is feeling like it's winter. I wouldn't be surprised to wake up to a little snow in the morning. LOL! JK...it's just dreary like it *could* snow. Your sweet furry-purry companion is really enjoying having your company! :)
Love your quilt, and RAIN YES we could use a dose of that too. I would like to see pics of the horseshoe chair? under the quilt:)
So glad that the weather is going a bit better for you. Here we are to the point that the parts of our lawn have finally dried and now, we can mow everything. We are expecting some rain on Tuesday and that would be a good thing.
So happy for you to hear that you still get some rain. Great place to bind a quilt and to have a "quilting" buddy around
LOL! enjoyed your story! Aren't those unseasonably cool days the best? And so is that quilt and your furry companion!
