Working My Way Back

My sewing sabbatical has ended.

I hadn't turned on my sewing machine since August 10th. The only reason I know the date is because that's the day I hurt my leg. But on Tuesday, I finally sat down and stitched on the binding to a quilt:

I hadn't realized how much I missed it. I also walked to the salt shed:

A 1/4 mile isn't very far, but it's a start and I'll build from there. I am loath to miss out on this amazing Fall weather.

I'm not waltzing across Texas just yet, but I've taken two steps towards getting back into the swing of things and it feels so good!

Baby steps on your road to recovery are best ;))) it's so hard to be patient when something like this happens, isn't it? Glad to hear you got to sew again:))) hugs and best wishes Julierose

Glad to see you are getting up and around more Karin. I know you've missed your sewing machine, so I'm glad you are back to that too. Take care and enjoy that lovely Fall weather.

Wonderful progress! The quilt looks great. I know when I don't/can't get to my sewing I just feel lost. And it's a wonderful feeling when I finally sew
a few stitches. Uvalde had 3.7 inches of rain night before last... I got 2/10
and we need much more. My big black tanks are in great shape, I've been very
careful with my water, do my laundry in town. So I shouldn't have to pump up
to the house tank until next Jan.... if I'm careful.
Keep up the good walking but don't overdo.

Must feel good to finally be able to reconnect with your stitching--and your ranch (to a small degree).
