Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

More please!

We are in desperate need of moisture around here. Any and all rain or snow is welcomed and appreciated. This morning we woke up to a couple of inches...we'll take it!

I love snow! And I love finished projects, and I have one to share today!

This is an old UFO - my first finished project for the new year! I bought a layer cake of this old line (I think it was called Snow Much Fun) a couple years ago on clearance. Wish they had had another because the only thing wrong with this quilt is that it is not big enough. LOL. It is 60 x 60".

I backed it with minky and Jackie quilted this darling snowflake pattern across it:

The combination of flannel, warm and natural batting, and minky, make for a very cozy quilt. I think this fella was asking, "Where's mine?"

And yes, I trudged outside at 7 am... in the snow... when it was 10°... carrying an over sized snowman cutout... a quilt,...and a camera... just for you. :)

Oh my, what fun looking white stuff!! Do the horses like it? Bet they'd REALLY like that sweet quilt you made to keep them warm.

May I ask, where in Texas? Hubby goes there ALOT for work.

Oh, thanks for tromping out in the snow to take a photo of that gorgeous quilt. All I've done in the snow is watch my husband tromp out to put feed in the bird feeder. We have about 2 1/2 inches also but is's snowing again.

I really like how you placed those squares in the quilt. It is quite pretty. I think its the 4 patterns that makes it so striking. Your horse is pretty too. My daughter is leading a horse for my grand daughter. She asked her Mom if she was in heaven! She loves horses. Thank you for going in the snow for the picture. It's a very pretty quilt.

Embroidering all those snowflakes last week must have created an atmospheric pressure that brought the snowfall. Enjoy!

What a beauty!! And how nice that the weather cooperated and gave you such a sweet backdrop for your snowy quilt! And I think your handsome fellow in the field *definitely* looks like he needs a blanket on his back! :)

Oh my, I bet that minky and flannel is amazing!!
So thankful for the snow, sadly it was rather dry and didn't leave much moisture at all. :(
