I've had the same Christmas wreath on my door for at least 20 years and I've been on the hunt for something new...something different. I didn't know what I wanted, but I'd know it when I saw it and I saw it HERE. This was it:
In an earlier post I shared this photo when I was working on it:
I finished it
and I love the way it turned out!
I want to make a smaller one next that I can use during the year. The original is a 12" wreath. I biggie sized my version.
My mom doesn't have a cell phone, but she was at a gathering with some friends and one of them texted me about something. I had told mom about the wreath so I sent a picture to her friend, J, so mom could see it and J asked me to make her one. Of course...but not THIS Christmas. LOL. my fingers need a break anyway - that's a lot of weaving!

Super CUTE!! It's just perfect for you guys--fits right into your way of life! I can't imagine how you had to finagle with that rope to get it to look so pretty.
Love it! Very unique and you did a very nice job.

Looks like the perfect wreath for your door! Very nice job on the weaving!
I love your wreath! It's perfect for a ranch house. I hope I can make one soon, thanks for the link to the tutorial. I need to try your pecans too. Hubby and my youngest daughter love them, but they are hard to find here too.
Your wreath is beautiful. You have a knack for decorating!
Karin, your wreath is beautiful. I am so excited to have found your blog again. We first “met” on scrapbooking site around 2004 or so. I am catching up on your blog. You are such a talented crafter and writer. I am sure I will enjoy catching up.

Oh, how fun to find a comment from you, NanaT! Thank you - I really enjoyed making it and I hope it stands the test of time.
I fondly remember our Scrapshare days! In fact, folks there were the ones to suggest I begin a blog...over 10 years ago! How is that possible? I hope this find you well and I'm tickled that you stumbled down the dirt road! ;)
