Early last year, we were thinking that there was a good possibility that we may move. We just had to sit back and let God work. I figured I wouldn't be sewing much when or if that happened so I hit the ground running at the first of the year and sewed any time I got the chance, trying to finish quilt tops so that when the time came and I wasn't sewing, I'd be able to hand tops off to Jackie and just need to bind them in order to have finished quilts. It worked great and I was able to sew through July and I felt good about the progress I was able to make last year. After July, the only sewing I did was to stitch on binding.
1. All in Good Time Spring Splash Baby Quilt - this had been a UFO for 6 years so I was happy to finally add it to the finished list
2. UT Quilt - Made this for our son-in-law. With updated photos once I gave it to him for Christmas.
3. Americana Quilt - I made this one for us
4. Unicorn Quilt - for our 'Corn' loving grand daughter
6. Mountain Lake - the first of 3 blue-green quilts I made in an effort to tame those bins
7. Seascape Quilt - the 2nd of the blue-green quilts
8. Bunny Hill Row Quilt - using up the leftovers from previous quilts - this one has been pieced for a couple of years and just needed to be quilted and bound.
9. Buckaroo Quilt - using up more scraps - another one that was pieced 3 or 4 years ago and was just waiting for quilting and binding.
10. Songbook - Fingerprints of God Quilt - The blocks for this one were made in September of '23. This will always be a favorite.
11. Indian Summer Siesta - Squeezed this one in, using 2 favorite prints, in December
I had 25 quilts on my list at the beginning of the year and I'm pleasantly surprised that I finished 11 of those. The majority of them began the year as tops and just needed to be quilted and bound. I'm doubly surprised since this year included a big move and we're spending so much time working outside on the new property.
And then I had one extra finish that wasn't even on the list
12. Pink and Blue Gingham Baby Quilt - Gingham quilts are always a favorite and I love making them.
So, another 12 quilt year. That's a good number for me. I'll shoot for that again next year, but at this rate, I'm not making much of a dent in my stash.

You sure got a lot done with a big move! I have that unicorn panel that I just found a few days ago. I may have to copy your quilt. Happy New Year! Hope we all have more time to sew in 2025.
2024 was a good quilty year for you even though you moved. Just think what you can do this year since you have moved! Happy stitching!
